Back in Vancity

Back in Vancouver last night to spend a few days with some really good friends from undergrad. Today was a pretty relaxin' day. Went to see Bodyworlds 3 with Gary and Tiff (Gary's Fiance) at Vancouver's Science World. I have to admit that it was still pretty good the 2nd time around, although Toronto's had more stuff and they were both overpriced!

Giant Sushi and the Tim Tam Slam

Afterwards me, Gary Eng and Tiff went over to Jessie's place for dinner tonight. There's this take-out sushi place in Vancouver that makes GIANT sushi rolls. Man those things were crazy. Here is a pic of what we had. Use the smaller black rolls as a size reference for the larger ones. The smaller black rolls are normal size...the others...are not...LoL

'Tiff also introduced us to this dessert using Tim Tam cookies. Tim Tam chocolate waffers originally come from Australia, but now are available in some stores here. There is a very specific technique to eating this called the "Tim Tam Slam". Step 1: Bite off both ends of the waffer and then use it as a straw to drink your team. Step 2: Just before you feel the cookie disintegrate, you have to quickly eat it before it disappears into your hot drink forever. It's quite exhilerating cuz you literally have like a 1 second time frame within which to devour your cookie. Anything before that will just taste like a cookie, and anything after means you are drinking your cookie. Try it sometime!
