Today is turkey-day for our friends south of the border. I never really understood why they have thanksgiving so late, it seems like a little bit of the excitement of thanksgiving gets lost in the prep for Christmas time. But then again I'm sure they are wondering why our thanksgiving is so early. Either way, thanksgiving means a couple things....Football games are on ALL DAY...everything is CLOSED!
After sleeping in until noon, Dave and I decide to drive around to buy some lunch for his relatives and after trying a few places, we come to the conclusion that there is only one reliable source of food during public holidays....we must seek out the chinese people, who if anything extra-staff themselves to make more money when everything else is closed. But surprisingly the first two chinese restaurants were closed! Thrid time's the charm as we finally found some place to eat. I decided to treat Dave's relatives for lunch, since they were so nice in allowing me to stay. They even invited me to thanksgiving dinner with their friends tonight so that was pretty cool.
Got a chance to tour around the Microsoft. Microsoft has about 70,000 employees worldwide...and a good 40-50,000 of them work in Seattle. It was a little surreal walking around the campus of Microsoft...Microsoft...kind of reminded me of that big corporation on the Simpsons that Hank Scorpio was in charge of. Microsoft definitely takes care of their employees. Also got a sneak preview of Windows Vista and Microsoft Office 2007...they are looking really cool!

These cans called "Talking Rain" can ONLY be found inside the buildings of Microsoft
